Modern Mini
Here is my modern mini. The idea was to try something new and I really wanted to push myself a little bit. I have never machine quilted before and I have never tried such a 'bold' quilting pattern (well bold for me, it is only squares and rectangles after all). I tried them both here. I am so chuffed with how it turned out. I really was not sure about the grey but the quilting really breaks it up and gives it a lovely texture. It now has pride of place in my bedroom and it makes me smile every time I see it.
And here it is washed and gorgeously crinkly!

I love your quilting - the random rectangles and squares is a great idea and I`m going to try that. You have used gorgeous fabric and love the colours - a great mini!
ReplyDeleteI just love it! That quilting is wonderful and really gives it a nice angular composition which is so complimentary to the squares of color. Great job! Thanks so much for entering the contest. Good luck!
