my glamorous assistant had to battle quite hard with the wind! |
I quilted it in a grid pattern, extending the grid into the purple border.
This was my first attempt at straight line quilting and I have to be honest I almost lost the will to finish it. I think I need to invest in a walking foot!
Happy sewing

My first thought when I saw this was "Tetris!" Actually, that's a lie, my first thought was "that glamourous assistant is in shorts in the snow!" Heh heh. It's a cracking quilt and isn't it satisfying to have another off the must-finish pile?
ReplyDeleteLove it. Such brilliant colours, and the solid purple being on only two sides is a great idea.
ReplyDeleteI just love the colors you used in this and yes you definitely need a walking foot. They make the straight line quilting so much easier.
ReplyDeleteCase of startitous. Hehe. Crack me up.
ReplyDeleteYes to the walking foot. Grids can still be annoying but I'd possibly have bawled my eyes out doing Yoshi without one.
It'S a lovely finish and I'm looking forward to your next!
it's fab. A walking foot will help but doesn't remove the boredom (which I quite like ;))
ReplyDeleteIt is gorgeous! A walking foot will help for sure :)
ReplyDeleteIs your glamorous assistant in shorts?? In the snow?? Tetris is stunning - so vibrant and full of life. A perfect finish.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your finish it is absolutely gorgeous. I wonder if there is a cure for startitous!
ReplyDeleteIt really is fab! I love the purple. Your assistant has good legs and is clearly very hardy:-)
ReplyDeleteYippee! It is awesome!
ReplyDeleteThis is stunning!
