The trees have turned white and not just because there is a tonne of snow on them. They are actually white. I know that sounds bonkers. I can't quite explain it, but it is as if someone had dipped them all in icing sugar. It is the most beautiful thing. I wish I could capture it on film for you to see but my attempts have failed miserably!
Anyway onto the sewing. I have started making Rose Star blocks. Here is my first one. It took quite a while to put together so this will not be a fast project but will be something I can work on on these cold dark nights.
Hope you are all staying warm.

I love your block - it's so pretty! My only attempt at a rose star was disastrous but now I want to do another one straight away. Looking forward to seeing what you make.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely Christmas!
Wow, it's gorgeous Caroline! I need to start an EPP project soon - my kids have started their summer holidays, so I don't think I'll get much sewing machine time for a while :o)
ReplyDeleteI love snowy trees. My inner Canadian comes leaping out at the very sight of them.
ReplyDeleteits not about speed ...its about having fun xx hope Christmas is also fun xx
ReplyDeleteYour block is lovely Caroline I think you will get lots of chances to make more of them if the weather forecast is right!
ReplyDeleteNo white trees here today just non-stop rain :(
Hehehe, I live in Australia so we're keeping ice and warm. It's 36 degrees today! Some of our gum trees have whitish bark. I think the sun bleaches it?
ReplyDeleteI didn't know about rose star blocks but yours looks amazing...must find out more,
