Quilting

I finally got around to quilting the T quilt this week. I went for an all over squiggle. This was my first go at free motion quilting and in fact my first go at machine quilting anything other than a mini quilt. It took a while to get used to moving the quilt around under the machine but once I got into the flow I really enjoyed it.

Now obviously the stitch length is not perfect all over but by the end I was fairly good. I don't think my 2 year old will care anyway.  Here is a close up of some of it.

Now just the binding to go and I might just get my first quilt finish of the year!

  4. Exciting! Managing a big quilt under the machine is hard work. Personally, I've yet to try FMQ and I'm all the more amazed that you ventured right into FMQ with a big one.
