I finally got around to quilting the T quilt this week. I went for an all over squiggle. This was my first go at free motion quilting and in fact my first go at machine quilting anything other than a mini quilt. It took a while to get used to moving the quilt around under the machine but once I got into the flow I really enjoyed it.
Now obviously the stitch length is not perfect all over but by the end I was fairly good. I don't think my 2 year old will care anyway. Here is a close up of some of it.
Now just the binding to go and I might just get my first quilt finish of the year!

My favorite flavor of ice cream is black rasberry. You really need to top it with nuts and carmel sauce to make it to die for! Love your pouch, thanks for the chance to win.
Jo, I will send you an email to get your delivery address. Thank you everyone for entering I am amazed at the response.

Give away Day
I have never taken part in Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day before but thought I would give it a whirl. I have this little pouch to give away. I seem to have been on a pouch making frenzy recently and it turns out there are only so many pouches a girl needs!
To win just leave me a comment letting me know your favourite flavour of ice cream (mine is mint choc chip). The giveaway is open until 3am Finnish time on Saturday 26th May and the winner will be picked randomly by one of my little girls at a more appropriate time on that Saturday morning!
Thank you for dropping by.

Bee blocks
Yippee!!! My sewing machine came back from the menders on Friday and it is working like a dream. It was only away 10 days but boy did I miss it. I managed to get these bee blocks done for Lynn from Stash Bee yesterday. I was initially a bit daunted by all those half square triangles. They are not my most favourite things but I have to say these were really satisfying to put together.
I look at these blocks and can see how much progress I have made in the last year. Even my husband could see it. Some of the points actually match!
Hope you are having a happy and sunny Sunday.

Leaves!!!!
Oh my, we actually have LEAVES!!!!
The green is coming back. A month ago we were still under snow and ice, even last week there was only a hint of leaves. Now they are here and with a vengeance. We even have these.
Hooray for green and light filled days that never end!

WIP Wednesday
Well I seem to be adding things to my WIP's rather than completing anything but hey that is part of the fun, right?
I have made some progress on the the T quilt.
I have added an extra row of blocks as I just didn't think it was big enough. It is now basted and ready for quilting. I am torn between baptist fans or an all over squiggle. What do you think? I have never tried either so I would be well outside my comfort zone with both.
My new hexie project is growing. I now have 2 panels like this, only another 4 to go! This is not going to be done quickly but I love these little hexies, they make me smile every time I see them.
And last but by no means least is my bee quilt. These fabulous blocks have been made by the ladies of We Bee Modern Too. Aren't they just wonderful. I love how they all look together. The block is 'Lemon and Limes' by Latifah Saafir from 'Modern Blocks'. I have a few more to come in and have to make my own but I think this is going to be beautiful.
No progress on the Chevron quilt or my nephew's quilt. I will get to them honest.
